RAIN 8/27: Radio vet Bill Gamble to consult AccuRadio's country stations
WILL OVERSEE 18 PERSONALIZABLE COUNTRY RADIO STREAMSPersonalizable web radio service AccuRadio has hired veteran music programmer Bill Gamble to consult AccuCountry — the company’s line-up of 18 country music channels. Gamble will not only handle AccuCountry’s music programming, talent and social networking, but will act as AccuRadio’s liaison to the Nashville music industry.
Gamble’s over 30 year career includes roles as programmer for Emmis, director of operations and new media for CBS in Denver and most recently PD of CBS Radio’s country WUSN and AC “Fresh 105.9” WCFS Chicago.
“I’m looking forward to exposing some of the great new country music that’s being recorded and ignored by traditional radio,” Gamble said.
AccuRadio’s 18 country music stations include selections like “New Country Hits,” “Country Love Songs” and “Women of Country.” Listeners can customize each stream by, for example, deselecting artists. You can find AccuCountry here.
