RAIN 9/8: Triton, TargetSpot execs to lead discussion on Net radio sales at RAIN D.C. Summit
RAIN SUMMIT EAST PANEL TO HOST OVER 80 YEARS OF COMBINED RADIO EXPERIENCEThis year’s RAIN Summit East has such a packed agenda of speakers that it’s taking quite a few days to announce them all! Today we’re presenting the “Monetizing Internet Radio: From the Webcaster’s Perspective” panel. It complements the earlier “From the Advertiser’s Perspective” panel (which we’ll have more details on very soon). You can find the full agenda for RAIN Summit East here.
The panel includes Billy Freund of Triton Media, Andy Lipset of TargetSpot, Les Hollander of Pandora, Dean Mandel of Katz 360 and moderator Deborah Parenti of Radio Ink.
Billy Freund is Executive Vice President with Triton Media Group (pictured left) and has 20 years experience developing, building, and managing sales and marketing operations. He has previously served as Senior Vice President for Westwood One and as a member of Katz Media Group.
Katz 360’s Vice President of Sales in New York, Dean Mandel (pictured right), joined Net Radio Sales in 2007 which was then acquired by Katz 360. He has served as Senior Account Executive for TeleRep and currently acts as Co-Chair of the ARF-Audio Streaming Task Force.
RAIN Summit East is an official co-located event of the RAB/NAB Radio Show. It takes place Tuesday, September 28 in Washington D.C. The Summit will feature a long list of radio experts, from Bonneville president/CEO Bruce Reese to AccuRadio COO John Gehron. More details, and information on how to register, can be found here. We hope to see you there!
MTV REMOVES URGE RADIO CHANNELS FROM VERIZON’S FiOS TVMTV’s Urge radio channels will no longer be heard through Verizon’s FiOS TV package, though they will still be available via AT&T’s U-Verse. Interestingly, Urge’s website has only a maintenance message. MTV reportedly “elected not to renew FiOS TV’s distribution of Urge Radio” under Verizon’s new carriage agreement.
