XM offers free podcasts of talk content

From Mediaweek.com: “Hoping to get more consumers hooked on paying a monthly fee for radio, XM Satellite Radio announced Tuesday it would offer consumers free access to some of its programming through its Web site and the Apple iTunes Store. Beginning today, free content available includes programming hosted by Bob Edwards, James Carville, Luke Russert, Mike Krzyzewski, Barry Switzer and Opie & Anthony, and other XM music and comedy programming…

“New episodes of each show that airs on XM will be available to podcast listeners on the day following its premiere.

“XM also plans on making more free content available in the future.”
