Radio Ink Convergence '08 Conference details announced ·Dec 18, 11:54 AM Ten years on from Radio Ink’s first “Internet Conference” in 1998, preparations are underway for the trade publication’s digital and new media gathering, re-branded this year as “Radio Ink Convergence ’08”. The Convergence ’08 conference, to be held March 10 & 11 in San Jose, CA, will bring together group heads, programmers, national The tagline under this year’s “Convergence ’08” logo sums up the wide variety of media and tech issues that will be up for discussion: “Streaming, Podcasting, Radio, WiFi, Internet, Audio, Blogging, Social Networking, Mobilecasting, Microsites.” Attendees will also be consulted on strategies that not only help plan future developments but also employ existing options to help raise revenues right away. Digital and wireless media will be well represented by the broad range of panelists already confirmed to appear. Panelists include webcast attorney David Oxenford of Davis, Wright, Tremaine LLP; analyst Mel Taylor of Mel Taylor & Associates; Jennifer Lane, President of Net Radio Sales; Rockie Thomas of McVay Media; analyst Mark Ramsey; Gary Krantz, Chief Digital Media Officer for Westwood One; and RAIN Publisher/AccuRadio CEO Kurt Hanson.
