Internet Radio now delivered... via your piano ·Jan 16, 11:51 AM From a Reuters Billboard story in Computer World: First the radio replaced the piano. Now the piano is getting its revenge. Yamaha’s Disklavier is an Internet-connected piano that, with the $20-per-month DisklavierRadio service, streams Internet radio stations featuring music suited to the piano — such as classical and jazz. And a service called DisklavierMusicStore allows users to download permanent music files to the piano’s built-in 80GB hard drive. Users can access either the streaming or downloadable music to teach themselves the instrument by playing along with the tunes, or they can just let it play itself like a player piano… The Disklavier is available at Yamaha dealerships nationwide or via the company’s Web site for $35,000.
