From a WEEI press release: Boston’s SportsRadio 850 WEEI-AM today announced an unprecedented,“360 Degree” multi-media approach to covering the New England Patriots as their historic pursuit of perfection culminates this week at Super Bowl XLII. For the first time in history, the station’s coverage will include not only audio, but visual, text and on-site experiences for WEEI’s audience and advertisers…

“Our goal is to make sure that no station covers it to the extent that we will on WEEI,” said Jason Wolfe, Vice President of Programming at WEEI. “Our digital approach will be unmatched by any other radio station…”

Visually, WEEI’s website (www.weei.com) will be used as never before. In addition to providing regular audio and written content throughout Super Bowl week, the station’s own video team will post daily video on WEEI.com from Monday, January 28 through Super Bowl Sunday, featuring web-only, exclusive content, daily interview highlights and long-form video of the day’s programming. Additionally, the station’s “Mobile Sports Flash” will keep fans updated throughout the week with the latest information and breaking news, including the game’s final score, via text message.
