CBS RADIO REPORTS ELECTION DAY ONLINE LISTENING, TRAFFIC BUMPCBS Radio says nine major-market news radio sites experienced an average 66% increase in online listening yesterday over their normal Tuesday traffic, while page views were up 55% and visits up 43%. The Los Angeles properties in particular seemed to benefit, with KFWB-AM’s streaming up 170% and KNX-AM page views up 266% and site visits up 202%.
The other seven stations in the panel include: WBBM-AM/Chicago, WCBS-AM and WINS-AM in New York, KYW-AM and WPHT-AM in Philadelphia, WBZ-AM/Boston and KCBS-AM/San Francisco. FATHER OF iPOD LEAVES APPLETony Fadell, chief of iPod development and “father of the iPod” has left Apple. Mark Papermaster, an IBM executive, will replace him.
