RAIN 4/30: Reviewers love Net radio on Nokia devices... when it's available ·Apr 30, 11:57 AM IF YOU WANT RADIO, XPRESS MUSIC IS NOT THE NOKIA PHONE TO GETThat would be the Nokia N85 (at right), according to a PC World review today. Columnist Ginny Mies calls the N85’s music player “impressive… I could easily see myself using the N85 as my primary music device.” The phone includes an FM transmitter, which allows you to listen to streaming radio on your car stereo (the phone streams the content, then transmits it to an unused frequency on your FM dial).
The N85, like several Nokia phones, comes with the Nokia Internet Radio app. Several phones, that is, but not the 5800 XpressMusic (left), complains AllAboutSymbian.com blogger Steve Litchfield. In a recent column called “Ten Things that Nokia Did WRONG in making the 5800 XpressMusic,” his top gripe: No Internet radio. Read the PC World review of the N85 here.
