Internet radio is coming to the car dashboard

The website/blog Engadget reported last week that “VW announced earlier this week that all new VW models in 2009 will have touchscreens.”
All it will need is Internet access, which might be built into the dashboard (e.g., a “telematics” approach similar to GM’s OnStar) or access (e.g., via Bluetooth) to someone cell phone in the car (a la the Ford SYNC approach).
As you can see in the following photos, that’s going to mean a great front-end for an Internet radio receiver built into the dashboard:
