The holiday shows off the many musical (and marketing) niches available to webcasters. One Internet radio station already taking advantage of those opportunities is Classic baby boomer-era cartoon shows are relived on Shokus Internet Radio, where every night favorite Valentine’s Day scenes from Charlie Brown, Pepe Le Pew, Popeye and more are performed on the air (more here). Barbershop Harmony from Live365 plays barbershop quartet love songs, while Pipeline2Paradise.com adds a Hawaiian touch to the holiday. AOL Radio offers some wedding-themed selections, like The First Dance and Wedding Songs. And of course there’s the Love Bites stream from 1Club.FM, which pretty much says it all. And if you’re still rushing to find the perfect gift for your sweetie this Sunday, ChipChick.com recommends the Internet radio-streaming HP DreamScreen (here). PANDORA CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER SPEAKS ABOUT ADREADY DEAL, IMPACT OF MOBILE DEVICESIndustry analyst Mark Ramsey recently spoke with Pandora’s Chief Revenue Officer John Trimble about a range of topics, including the company’s recent deal with AdReady to attract ad dollars from small and regional businesses. Some have said the move is a threat to AM/FM radio, but Trimble disagreed. “We continue to view the radio world and ourselves as a complementary experience.”
He also called Pandora’s multi-platform approach a “game-changer” from an advertising perspective. Ramsey and Trimble also discussed approaches for collecting listener demographic info, how to advertise on mobile devices and more.
