If you’re a loyal RAIN reader, you may know that I’m speaking on a royalties panel at the Canadian Music Week conference in Toronto this week, then giving a presentation on “The Future of Radio“ at Radio Ink’s Convergence conference in San Jose next week.

And if you know me well, you may know that I tend to be incapable of making any progress on writing a speech until approximately 4am of the day I’m supposed to give it — and even then I’m still writing it and rearranging PowerPoint slides as I’m being introduced on stage. (To quote a lyric line from “Avenue Q,” “It Sucks to Be Me.”)

In an attempt to try to minimize the effects of this phenomenon, I thought I’d create an artificial deadline for myself and offer you, the loyal RAIN reader, a opportunity to get a preview of that “Future of Radio” presentation this afternoon (Tuesday 3/4).
