Thanks to everyone involved for a great RAIN Internet Radio Summit! ·Apr 22, 05:58 PM It started with a group of about 15 radio people meeting for drinks at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Las Vegas during the NAB Show in 2000, evolved into a couple of hours’ worth of speakers and panels at the Z’Tejas Grill in 2004 (see agenda here), and has grown into what I believe is now the biggest day of the year for those of us in the field of Internet radio — the RAIN Internet Radio Summit. I’m busy with follow-up meetings at the NAB Show right now, and I desperately need a day by a swimming pool as soon as reasonably possible, but I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who made this year’s RAIN Internet Radio Summit such a great event. That includes the keynote speakers, CBS Radio’s David Goodman and Pandora CEO Joe Kennedy, last-minute addition Rob Williams of GOOM Radio, musical guest Gaby Moreno, and the over 200 other speakers, moderators, panelists, sponsors, and attendees. I hope you all learned lots, met new business contacts, made new friends, and had a great time. Thanks to our many international attendees, who came from such varied locations as Belgium, Australia, Spain, Germany, Mexico, Canada, and Peru. I’d also like to extend a special thank you to our Platinum Sponsors, Ando Media (Bob Maccini) and Triton Digital (Neal Schore, Mike Agovino, and Billy Freund), and to our cocktail party host, Dot.FM (George Bundy). In fact, thanks to all of our sponsors, as seen here. In conclusion, Paul and I would very much like thank the one person who really made this year a better-quality event, Jennifer Lane of Audio4cast, for organizing the sponsorships and the panels, and Kipper McGee for managing the day’s logistics. We’ll have lots more about the RAIN Summit next week, including hopefully some Flip videos of the sessions. But until then, THANKS! share: del.icio.us. Reddit Digg Yahoo Wink Windows Google Newsvine
